Hucknall Warriors 2 Tollerton 2

Match Type: League
Man of the Match: Ed Ridley
Home or Away: Home

Hucknall Warriors relinquished two points in the EMPAL second division as Tollerton scored an equaliser agonisingly late in the game. Warriors started the game well and were unlucky not to go in front in the early minutes as Macauley Spencer broke into the box and was unfortunate to see his shot glance off the cross bar. Edward Ridley in the Warriors goal made his first save on twenty minutes diving low to his left to parry away an excellent strike from outside the area. Ridley then made another two excellent  point blank saves from the resultant corner to deny Tollerton the opening goal. Warriors got the lead they felt they deserved on thirty minutes as a Zac Conway corner came out to Spencer on the right who rifled the ball across the face of the goal and into the net. HT 1-0

Goalkeeper Ridley made a yet another fantastic save at the start of the second half denying Tollerton a certain goal as the visitors pushed forward for a leveller. However Warriors were still creating chances and doubled their lead as Alex Featherstone found himself in plenty of space and he was able to pick his spot, shooting from well outside the area into the near corner of the goal. Warriors had further chances with Ryan Evans hitting the post before Tollerton pulled a goal back through  Jake Messenger, despite last ditch defending .  Featherstone saw another header skim off the outside of the post as Warriors looked to restore their two goal cushion. Tollerton kept pressing forward and Warriors were under the cosh in the dying minutes of the game, Tyler Stafford heading off the line before Tollerton again equalised with a superb overhead kick from Ryan Richardson. Tollerton almost snatched all three points with virtually the last kick of the game but once again man of the match Ridley came to Warriors rescue with another outstanding save.
