Neil Bird presents the Under 13 players with their awards at Presentation Night 2012.

Heres the facts….we have scored more goals than last season, we have conceeded less goals than last season, we have got more points than last season, we have competed against all of the sides in the league apart from the top two, we beat the team who are/were third in the league, we completed our first ever league double and we also for the most part kept all 16 players happy.

That in anyones book is a sucessfull season.

Who knows what the future holds…that will be sorted in the next couple of weeks.

Well done again…be proud of yourselves because im certainly proud of you.

Take nothing away from Keyworth as they played the superior football and were worthy winners but had the Warriors taken some of the chances they created in the first half it may have been a different story. Four goals in each half for Keyworth were sandwiched by a Kane Pickard strike as the locals tired quickly on the big pitch.

The Warriors shouldn’t be too downhearted by this result though as they ended the season with their first defeat in four games…..who would have thought that at the start of the season…!
