Warriors started their Notts Youth League campaign against local rivals Bagthorpe in this Sunday under 15′s division 2 game in sensational fashion. Only 3 minutes into the game Andreas Kokkinou was on hand to fire the ball into the net following a well taken corner. For the first twenty minutes Warriors looked to have the upper hand, as the defence of Tyler Stafford, Jac Stevenson, Sam Stewart and Kokkinou looked solid, but as the game progressed Bagthorpe began to assert themselves with some decisive passing and they deservedly got an equaliser with an unstoppable lob that left the Warriors keeper stranded. Despite further Bagthorpe pressure resulting in a fine save from goalkeeper Luke Cook, Warriors restored their lead on the brink of half time when striker Nyran Wright was bundled over just outside the box and Kokkinou grabbed his second goal of the game with a fearsome free kick.

A controversial decision saw Jack Hutchbys goal not allowed even though it had crossed the line and to add to Warriors woes Bagthorpe got a fourth goal to secure victory when a long ball wrong footed the defence to beat the keeper.Man of the match for Warriors was Andreas Kokkinou for his contribution to the game at both ends of the pitch.
