Hucknall Warriors FC striker Liam Burley notched up an amazing 250 appearances this weekend in the match between Warriors Under 15 Reds and Arnold Town.
But the remarkable thing is that he has now played 250 games in over 7 and a half years without missing a single match for the team! This has to be a record in youth football.
Liam who plays as a striker for the team and has netted 160 goals in his 250 appearances and is a Notts County supporter was presented with a very special thank you by the Club but it was Notts County who came up trumps with a special note personally sent to Liam by their Manager and Ex Manchester United and England player, Paul Ince. In the letter to Liam Paul said ” to have reached such a milestone at only 14 years of age is a real achievement but to have done so with consecutive appearances is truly incredible and you should be very proud of yourself” Paul went on to wish Liam all the very best for the future. Along with the letter Paul also arranged for the whole Notts County first team to sign a shirt and that was also presented to Liam by U15 Reds Manager Mick Burnell.

I’d also like to apologise for the slight wind noise on the video but luckily Mick is still audible.
