Newsletter: Back to weekly

We’ve been looking at the analytics from our email newsletter and we’ve decided to change the frequency back to weekly. For the past two months we’ve noticed that our monthly newsletters have included old articles from nearly a month ago, which, of course, isn’t ideal. We’ve decided to make the change back to weekly to help the stories in each newsletter be more up to date and relevant. This will mean that some weeks where there’s not news, we wont send out a newsletter, though.

Web Site Survey

Every year or so we conduct a web site survey in order to gather people’s opinions on our web site and improve it. We’re always working hard to innovate on the web site and add new features that make it more functional or easier to use. We’d like to know how successful we are with this. Click the link below to fill out our survey. It’ll take two or three minutes and we”ll really appreciate your positive/negative feedback.

Email Newsletter – A few changes

We’ve been listening to your feedback about our popular email newsletter from Hucknall Warriors FC and we’ve made a few changes based on your feedback.

Firstly, instead of a weekly newsletter, it’s going to change to a monthly frequency. This will make it to newsletters are packed full of more great information, instead of having just one or two stories like some have in the past.

Secondly, we’re trying to make it to include more great news and information instead of a match report focused newsletter as they previously have been. Match reports will no longer be in the email newsletter, but if there’s enough demand we can create a separate system for match report email notifications. If you want this – let us know in the comments.

These changes are going to make the content of the newsletter better quality. We’re trying to make it so you dont have to manually check the web site with things like this and our Facebook page, but if you want to see other content on the web site, including match reports, you can always head over to www.hucknallwarriors.co.uk (including on your mobile phone or tablet computer, with our latest web apps).

Let us know if you have any ideas to improve the newsletter more by commenting below.

Warriors for BlackBerry!

We’re proud to announce that we have created yet another version of our web site for mobile phones. This version is designed for phones without a touch screen, such as BlackBerry and Nokia. This is a great improvement to the Warriors online infrastructure as more and more people want to connect to web sites and get information from their smart phones instead of their computers. This means now, we have four different versions of the Hucknall Warriors FC web site, a version for computer, one for iPad, one for touch screen phones and another for phones without touch screens.

This a work in progress, however. We still want to add extra information (such as the easy to access goal scorer, man of match etc information above each report) and things like Warriors TV to the mobile web site. Warriors TV is much more difficult due to the amount of different mobile phones on the market each with varying video requirements.

Check it out!

Warriors TV updates!

We’ve introduced a brand new look to Warriors TV pages ditching the sidebar to make room for a much larger video player. In fact, it’s nearly twice the size of the other one! This, along with our HD viewing, means it’s a really great viewing experience as you go back and look at your favourite moments which we have captured and put on Warriors TV.

Something we’re aware of is that is that it’s not applied to all videos. Some videos, most notably older ones, do not show the new look but play fine in the old look. Also, if you have a netbook it’s not going to work as well as the other design, just hit full screen and it will improve this for you. We have looked at the information we have and it shows the majority of our users will benefit from this. If  you have a problem with it please let us know on contact@hucknallwarriors.co.uk

We hope you like the new look!
