SATURDAY 28th April 2012
Doors Open at 6:45pm for a 7:15pm prompt start
at
The John Godber Centre

Another year of celebration will be upon us soon and here is a taster of what we are planning this year.

  • Season End Awards
  • Special Celebrity Guest Speaker
  • Special Awards & Recognition of achievements
  • Activities for players in the “players zone”
  • Disco after the awards ceremony
  • Bar till 11pm

Your Feedback

This year we have taken on some feedback and we are trying a new and larger venue. The Godber Centre is situated 2 minutes from Hucknall Market place on Ogle Street, there is free parking to the rear of the centre and we are planning to have the main event in the large upstairs room with a special “Players Zone” on the ground floor where players can relax and chat when not involved in the presentation itself, we are also hoping to confirm some attractions for the Players Zone. There is a bar open until 11pm.

We are going to try and condense the night this year leaving some time at the end for a disco for those who have said they would like to have a dance…memories of the U10’s managers and coaches 2 years ago come to mind….

There will be tables of 10 and these will be reserved for each team meaning that in the main, all teams’ parents and families will be able to sit together rather than it being on a first come first served basis.

There will also be a special guest to present the trophies and give a short talk.

We have agreed that teams will supply their own sandwiches and buffet to keep costs down. Prices have been reduced from previous years and ticket prices are:

Adults £2:00 / U16′s £1 / Players Free – tickets will be on sale in February.

Tickets will in the first instance be issued to each team on a limited basis as we have a maximum of 230 people we can accommodate across the main room and the players zone and so after the first 4 weeks if a team has not taken their allocation then tickets will then be offered out in general. More information on this process will follow but we are expecting that we will be able to accommodate all that want to attend.

Club constitution updated

Dear all,

The clubs constitution has been updated and is now located under club documents. We draw your attention to sections 6, 7 and 14 specifically.

As a reminder the membership fees for the new season increase to £6 per week from September 3rd 2011 to April 29th 2012 with a 2 week break at Christmas. Fees for players playing in 2 Warriors teams increases to £10/week.

Finally we have had to introduce an amendment to deal with late payment of membership fees as issued in our letter to you dated 28th July 2011 (which you should have received via your team manager) your cooperation with this is greatly appreciated in helping the club fulfill its financial obligations.

Regards and have a great season,

Paul Burley
