Another milestone was reached this week as Nyran Wright notched up his 250th appearance for Hucknall Warriors U16 Reds.
The pacey striker who has netted 7 goals this season and 119 goals in his time with the team has been a regular since he started at U9.

WARRIORS ACHIEVE 250 MILESTONE
Two Hucknall Warriors players achieved a milestone this week playing their 250th matches for the team and celebrating it by remaining top of the Nottm Youth League U16 Div 2 table.
Tyler Stafford and Luke Cook have played for the team since under 7′s and the two loyal players have been part of the success that this team has continued to see over the years.
Stafford a right back who can also play in midfield also has one of the leagues longest throws within his armor and Cook is Warriors outstanding goal keeper who tops the teams man of the match table.
Well done to them both for a remarkable achievement.
IMPORTANT notice about Presentation Night ticket allocations
There have been a couple of questions relating to this years presentation night and specifically ticket allocation so I thought I would clarify.
As we now have 5 teams we are using the largest venue available to us in Hucknall this year, being the John Godber Centre.
Some teams tend to bring more friends and family than others and of course we want to enable anyone who wants to come to be able to.
However in order to be fair to all teams we have issued a first allocation which would allow each player to bring 3-4 people on the night.
We fully recognise that some families want to purchase 6 or more tickets and we believe that during April this will be possible but for now there is a limit on this first allocation as inevitably, there is a maximum number we can get in to Godber Centre on the night.
So, the first allocation of tickets has been issued and are available to purchase and any tickets not sold by any team by the 26th March will be reclaimed and then issued out to other teams who have requested more tickets.
This is not ideal and the committee did consider a larger venue where this approach would not have been necessary however it was 6 miles away and the team managers felt the night needed to be in Hucknall.
I am confident that when the second allocation of tickets is made available on the 27th March then those who want further tickets will get them within reason.
My advise is to purchase your initial allocation now so we have a clear idea of the initial numbers and then any teams who have not sold their tickets will have their remainder reallocated with a further tranche of tickets for sale during April.
I hope this clarifies our thinking and again, I am sure come the 28th April 90% of people will get the tickets they require.

He adds this accolade to one earn’t at the end of last season where he picked up Managers Player of the year award.
Paul Burley – Joint U16′s Manager and Club Chairman said ” Lewis is just one of those players you want in both your team and your club, he is determined, battles hard for the team and he takes on board all the feedback he is given at training and is a delight to work with… his attitude is exemplary on and off the pitch and on behalf of the club we congratulate him on this special award – 250 appearances is a great achievement ”
