YEL U13 Sunday Div 3
Unfortunately a minimalist 1st half report as I forgot the players cards and missed it as I was driving back to Hucknall (Won’t make that mistake again)…..
Bilborough Pelican took the early lead in this Young Elizabethan under 13 division three match after a great shot from a tight angle that looped in to the roof of the Warriors net. Warriors equalised through a free-kick from Kieren Beales. Score at half time 1-1.
The second half started and Warriors were straight on top and took the lead after only 5 minutes had been played when Ethan Barnes knocked in from the edge of the box after running at the Pelican defence, Warriors extended the lead when Beales got his second of the game when he placed well when one on one with the keeper. Beales then grabbed his hat trick, after Barnes went past the keeper who got a touch but the ball fell kindly for Beales to knock in. Warriors continued to pressure Pelican who created little going forward and what was created Jacob Day was equal to in the Warriors goal. Warriors extended the lead when Owen Taylor-Parrot scored his second penalty of the season with a Coolly placed shot. Barnes completed the scoring as he poked in from the left of the box into the far corner.
Another great win for the team well done boys
