Warriors ran out comfortable winners against Pelican Colts Red in this midweek under 14′s Young Elizabethan division 2 game.
Despite a nervy start Warriors took the lead when Regan Scott was on hand to place his shot past a stranded goalkeeper into the net and moments later Alex Galloway struck to give Warriors a two goal  cushion on which they were able to build a convincing victory. Paice Lees added a third when his fierce shot  into the top of the net gave the home keeper no chance.
Pelican continued to threaten second half and it was reassuring to see goal keeper Luke Cook in excellent form as he made a couple of crucial saves from short range. The defensive partnership of  Tyler Stafford, Lewis Nixon, Sam Stewart and Jac Stevenson was solid and ensured the home sides shots on goal  were limited and excellent work from Lucas Elliott and Liam Burley ensured that Warriors created numerous chances to add to their tally. A fourth goal was added when the ball rebounded off an unfortunate Pelican player into the net and the victory was sealed when Nyran Wright lashed home the fifth and final goal of the game. Man of the match went to Luke Atter for an impressive performance that covered both defence and midfield.
